Welcome! Here you can find out more about me and how my life is going as an actor!
John Gialitis (pronounced “July-tis”) II, now 18 years old, is an actor working on his career in New York.
He has an IMDb page with multiple credits, has himself directed many short films, and won awards in film festivals such as Top Shorts, 4theatre, and LAFA for best film, official selection, finalist and best young actor.
John has also done work in award winning short films such as “Eaglehood” and “A Hymn To Love”, voiceovers, a speaking part in a Broadway play, and a supporting character in a feature film.
He is managed by the talent group Lil Angels Unlimited, a bi-coastal management team headed by Jackie Reid, a pioneer in the entertainment industry.
COMING UP: John Gialitis will star as the Lead in two films, “The Audition” and “A Hymn to Love”, premiering at AMC Theatre’s in Times Square, New York City, for the 2022 All American Highschool Film Festival in October.
He will also make an appearance at the Woodstock, Brightside Tavern, and New York Alliance Film Festivals. John is also working on two projects, and focusing on acquiring a talent agency under his belt. He plans to release his first song everywhere by 2023.
Ever since John was very young, he was a performer. Even if it meant dancing to Monster Mash in his Spider-Man costume, or partaking in every local talent show to spin a Bo staff or play trumpet, if he could flaunt it, he was gonna. Then when it was that one particular moment when he and his family got to watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” starring Jim Carrey, he experienced firsthand how film could touch people’s lives, and a spark was lit. From that day on, John Gialitis had dreams of becoming an Actor on the big screen.
It wasn’t until 2017, when while spotted conducting along to an orchestra’s rehearsal, he was introduced to a Korean director, who after meeting with John’s mother, was invited to audition for the director‘s production of the Christmas opera, “Amahl and the Night Visitors”, a story of a crippled boy at the first Christmas. John got the lead, and after months, and months of rehearsal, performed in his first professional production. He learned many things, including what theatre was, how to work with wonderful colleagues (one of which is now his vocal teacher), and got a taste for the industry. A memory, he is forever grateful for.
Through the years that followed, John did not actively pursue acting. He did not see it as an actual, graspable, career opportunity until much later. In that period, John continued working on hobbies and traditional life experiences, such as training in taekwondo, joining youth orchestras, jazz bands, and extracurriculars for trumpet, building cosplay artworks, and practicing piano, guitar, and singing.
Then one day, in January 2021, after seeing a self tape compilation for actors who just started out, a revelation blew up in his mind, and a burst of hunger and inspiration that had been unnoticed for so long ripened to fruition.
Over the next couple weeks, John dove into research of how to become an actor in the industry. After weeks of diving into the internet with questions and theories, John created his backstage account, and thus launched his acting career, which led to him getting his first job and so many more in this new chapter of his life.
